Sowing Seeds

The weekend before last hubby and I sowed some seeds in cardboard cells using organic seed compost.  In the last few days some have started to sprout.

Leeks are slower to germinate.  These were sown in the cardboard tubes from toilet rolls.

  1. Looking good Karin! I like those cardboard cells. Do you leave your seed trays in the greenhouse overnight?

  2. Yes, we do. When we had the sunny weather I opened it up. They are pretty much all seeds we could sow straight in the ground now, so it just gives them a better start, hopefully away from the slugs. It gives us more time to sort out where we want to plant them, too.
